USGS | Volcanic Hazards in the Pacific Fact Sheet

The Volcanic Hazards in the Pacific U.S. Territories is an information fact sheet put together by the US Geological Survey and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
The authors wanted a fact sheet that consisted of easily understood descriptions and intuitively understood graphics and illustrations of general volcanic hazards expected to occur during island and submarine volcanic events.
My team, Phil Frederick and I, worked with the authors to make a fact sheet that is easy to read and follow.   We used an eruption image in Photoshop as a blended background for the inside spread. The icons where completed in Illustrator and the layout was done in Indesign.
This fact sheet had a run of almost 2,400 copies that were sent to
4 volcano science centers in the United States. Online, this fact sheet has potentially reached an audience of nearly 900,000 people in
8 countries, including the U.S.
